Who sold us the lie to work for someone else and give away our life

You know that awful feeling when you get home after work? All drained and empty? Yeah, it fucking sucks.

Well, this was me. I used to work as a sales manager, something I worked my ass off to be able to achieve. At one point it felt absolutely amazing to be 23 years old, sales manager, good salary, bought my own apartment in the city and having an amazing career ahead of me. It looks so freaking good on paper and I loved that.

But what did not appear on paper was the amount of energy and time and effort and life force I had to give to this paper in order to keep it alive. I basically had to give all of my life force to a job that I did not enjoy that much. How is that even legal?

Paid slavery. That is what I call it today. You work away your whole life to a corporation that you do not care about only to get a salary that you spend on bills and have little money left to order Uber eats the whole weekend because you have no energy to cook. The rest of the money, you put into your savings account because you are trying to be smart about money, and now you have nothing left to enjoy life. What a life. Fuck me.

And still people are trying to convince you that having a job is the smartest thing you can do for yourself. ”Having a job is safety” I am sorry what? We are basically tricking people into believing that slaving away our life for a corporation to get enough money to pay for our bills is safe. How did this system even start in the first place? I am sorry but not one of us signed up to pay bills our whole entire life, we are just existing.

Anyway. Let’s get back to my point. Now what was my point? Oh yes.

We are basically sold this pretty lie that the best thing we can do is to get a degree, a job, a career, a mortgage, preferably get married, have kids and then, eventually, retire. OMFG. Who sold us this lie?

It is just like marriage. They wrap it up in a pink wrapper and tell you that it is the best thing and then you realize that you basically signed up to be a free cook, cleaner, sex worker, driver, teacher, therapist, fill in the blank.

And we are done listening to these lies. Done. Done. Done. Did I say we are done?

We are so ready to be our own boss, make our own money, have no limits whatsoever on the amounts of money we make, have our own business, do what we want, choose what we want to do with our time and live our life the way we want to.

No but honestly. Enough is enough.

We are done slaving away our life to a corporation when we could instead use that same energy towards our own dreams.

Because here is the fun part: we have dreams. And lots of them. And they are not random. They were actually planted in our mind for a reason. The reason being: we are meant to fulfil them. They are not some random fantasies just dancing around in our mind. They are our actual path forward. Now, how disrespectful of us to forget about our dreams and instead give away all of our time, energy and effort to something else that is anything but our dreams? I would say: very disrespectful.

It’s like we are giving the universe the finger.

But the tables have turned. We are no longer committing to paid slavery. We are all in on creating our own dreams, just the way we were always meant to. We just stepped away from the path for a bit, but now we are back. Oh yes baby. We are back.

We are here to create that dream of ours, make more money than we know how to spend, enjoy life to the fullest, do whatever we feel like and have so much fun it feels illegal.

Period.

If you are all in on becoming your own boss, make sure you get yourself into the room where we make that happen. The doors to Dreamteam are open and they are welcoming you.

Now don’t just stand there, get in and let’s make the ground shake.

Enter Dreamteam.

Don’t forget to dream big. / Jasmin Slone.
